Casco is delighted to be involved in recycling wherever possible. Many aircraft parts can be repaired and reused and casco is actively involved in the repair cycle. All components that are beyond economical repair are recycled. Casco also breaks aircraft that have become financially unviable. Components being reused where possible and the remains being recycled as scrap. When visiting customers and suppliers we endeavour to call on all in a given area thus reducing the journey carbon footprint. Cardboard and paper is reused for packaging and then recycled. The head office has recently had its heating system overhauled and introduced an experimental device, developed in Germany, which is attached to the boiler and substantially reduces fuel consumption and emissions.
